Anchorage P Cards

$11,000,000.00 was charged by Anchorage City Employees last year as work related expenses. No wonder the library hours had to be shortened to pay for all those meals, flowers, bottles of water, tea and coffee that were charged. Some legit and a lot not......go figure

Homeland Security Shopper

The Alaskan Homeland Security guy is telling us to stock up on a 3 day supply of groceries, water, etc. at the least, in case of emergency. Better yet, if it's a 7 day supply.

He goes in a local grocery store picking up all the items on his list to show us what we need to buy. He's not looking at the prices just the name brand labels that he recognizes. Total cost: $181.00

My cost: $80.00..........You can tell who's the shopper in his family............go figure!

Alaskan Sense or Humor

Today, I went to WalMart in Wasilla. The womens restroom was closed and was being cleaned by a man. The man then went to the mens restroom and began cleaning. He didn't have to close the mens room though. Why doesn't a woman clean the womens restroom? Wouldn't common sense tell a reasonable person that.....

This isn't the first time this has happened. I've even brought this issue to the attention of Customer Service. It seems my message isn't getting across. My facebook girlfriend said that the manager must be a man....go figure...
